Great place for securing the best.

It is truly a blessing for my husband and me to have met Dr. Oefelein. He is an exceptional doctor who saved my husband's life. Dr. Oefelein showed great compassion. My husband had a previous kidney tumor surgery in 2018 at Providence Hospital in Mission Viejo. Unfortunately, his kidney cancer was back in 2023, and two other doctors in Bakersfield refused to perform the surgery due to his past medical history. Dr. Oefleine listened to our story empathetically and agreed to take on the surgery. His expertise and professionalism were evident. Before the surgery, he thoroughly explained the laparoscopic nephrectomy procedure, ensuring we fully understood it. Despite discovering potential risks during the surgery, he promptly communicated with me and decided to change from a laparoscopic nephrectomy to a radical nephrectomy to save my husband's life. Dr. Oefelein's friendliness and dedication are noteworthy. He has provided regular care for my husband, offering encouragement during every 3-month follow-up visit. Additionally, he managed our time efficiently, ensuring minimal appointment wait times. The staff, particularly Stella, the receptionist, were kind and welcoming. However, there was a slight delay in responding to my message left at the office.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Oefelein! I have been a patient of his for several years, and have always been impressed by his professionalism, courtesy, and care.

I’ve known Dr. Oefelein for years from where I worked and took care of his pre and post operation patients. He’s done 2 separate operations on my husband as well. He communicates with patients great and always monitors their recovery closely. I speak from experience. I’ve worked with a lot of surgeons, he’s one of the best.
